Malaga Airport, is the fourth busiest airports in Spain, with 3 terminals. It is located 8kms from Malaga City and is also the main airport for the Costa Del Sol.
The airport serves all the main Costa del Sol tourist resorts and towns along the coast. with Torremolinos (10 mins drive), Benalmadena (15 mins drive), Fuengirola (20 mins drive), Calahonda (25 mins drive), Marbella (30 mins drive), Puerto Banus (40 mins drive) and Estepona (60 mins drive).
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are hardly used any more with the new Terminal 3 being the main airport hub.
Terminal 3 contains many shopping outlets and restaurants along with the new underground railway station.

Driving in Malaga

A fine will be levied if this is not adhered to.
In all cases it is advisable that you bring your passport when intending to drive in Malaga, or at least a reproduction of the page which has the owner’s picture.
If you hold an EU driving licence, you do not need an International Driving Permit. If stopped by the police (Guardia Civil) you may be asked to produce your passport.
